Ukrainian state enterprise to consult with SOCAR on gas supply

Ukrainian state enterprise Ukrspirt and trading house of Azerbaijan’s state oil company in Ukraine, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, will conduct consultations on supplying the enterprise with gas, Ukrspirt said in a message Oct. 28.

The message says that a working meeting was held between Ukrspirt’s Acting Director Yuri Luchechko and Director for Wholesale Trade of SOCAR Energy Ukraine Andrey Bychkov on the issues of cooperation, commercial cooperation and provision of the enterprise with gas.

SOCAR can become a reliable partner of Ukrspirt, said Bychkov at the meeting.

Luchechko, for his part, noted that the enterprise’s main aim is the maximum transparency in implementation of procurement.

“We can and should buy gas at the best price from reliable partners. We must consider the cost of gas, which is tied to the price on the exchange, and this will allow us to save up to 1.2 million hryvnia on our volumes,” said Luchechko.

The sides agreed to continue consultation on the issues of commercial activity.

SOCAR Energy Ukraine has been operating since 2008.
