Azerbaijani banks buy over $18M from central bank Feb. 5

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) sold $18.37 million to seven domestic banks through the auction Feb. 5, the CBA said Feb. 5.

“CBA put up for sale $ 200 million, but the total demand of banks for foreign currency amounted to only $18.37 million and it was fully met,” the statement said.

CBA holds auctions three times a week - on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
