Azerbaijan-Uruguay business meeting due in Baku

Baku is going to host Azerbaijan-Uruguay business meeting on September 14, as part of the visit of a delegation headed by Uruguay Deputy Foreign Minister Jose Luis Conseil.

The diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1994. Uruguay is interested in development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in all spheres.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Uruguay made up $5,768 million in 2014. About 99 percent of them account for the import of Uruguayan products.

During January-July 2015, the trade turnover amounted to $119,340 and this figure almost 24 times less than the same period of last year.

Last year Uruguay and Azerbaijan signed an agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs.
