Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum due in Baku

Baku Business Center will host Azerbaijani-Austrian business forum on December 5, the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) website reported on Nov.28.

The event organized by AZPROMO with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Industry, will be held in the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan of the delegation headed by the Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz.

"It is expected that the forum will be attended by some 20 Austrian companies operating in construction, oil and gas industry, ICT, food, chemical, engineering, light industry and other fields. Azerbaijani entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the event," the statement said.

According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, in January-October 2013 the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Austria was about $333.46 million. During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported Austrian products worth $79.58 million. Exports to Austria amounted to $253.88 million in January-October 2013.
