By AzerNewsAzerbaijan's state oil company SOCAR commissioned new gas-filling stations under its brand in Romania, particularly two stations in Oradea, one in Piatra Neamt and one in Buzau, in November.
Thus, SOCAR Romania brought the number of filling stations in the country to 20, becoming one of the most important players on the fuel distribution in the north-east of Romania.
The stations are provided with four feed pumps, that can concomitantly serve six customers and it sells unleaded gasoline 95, unleaded gasoline 98, COR 95, COR 98, diesel and premium diesel. In addition, the filling station is equipped with pumps for servicing heavy vehicles and it offers automatic service in order to inflate tires (air-water colonades), multi-product store, Cafe Nar, traffic guidance services and tablets for customers who want to browse the internet.
Earlier, SOCAR Romania reported that its 2013 budget is planned at the level of 50 million euros. The company said it plans to expand its operations and open filling stations in key centers of Romania by the end of 2013.
SOCAR entered the Romanian market by buying local filling stations from Romtranspetrol and re-branding them in 2011.
SOCAR annually invests billions of dollars in transport infrastructure and is involved in key projects designed to increase Europe's energy security.
It owns gas stations in Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Georgia and Ukraine. It has representative offices in Georgia, Turkey, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Britain, Iran, Germany and Ukraine and trading companies in Switzerland, Singapore, Vietnam, Nigeria, and other countries.
