Refining, gas and petrochemicals conference happening in Moscow

Russian capital hosted a popular annual event - the Moscow Refining, Gas and Petrochemicals Week on September 16-20, 2013.

The event included IGTC-5th International Gas Technology Conference & Exhibition, RPTC-12th Russia & CIS Petrochemicals Technology Conference & Exhibition as well as RRTC-13th Russia & CIS Refining Technology Conference & Exhibition.

The five-day conference, organized by Euro Petroleum Consultants (EPC), saw over 500 attendees, over 80 respected speakers, over 50 exhibition stands, Interactive panel sessions as well as marketing opportunities.

The attendees included heads of refining, petrochemicals and gas processing from major oil companies, general directors of regional refineries, petrochemical and gas plants, heads of technical departments, chief engineers, chief technologists, project directors, design institutes, engineering contractors, technology, solutions and equipment providers, industry consultants and analysts and government agencies.

All participants of the Moscow Refining, Gas and Petrochemicals Week gathered there for one purpose - to improve the product quality, reliability and effectiveness exploitation of equipment in Russia and CIS countries and familiarization with competitive ability of the region.

During the 5th International Gas Technology Conference & Exhibition the participants discussed the influence of shale gas to the world market, the development of the gas purification technology and its processing to liquid, chemical products and fertilizers, the perspectives and possibilities of associated gas, gas transportation, future of liquefied natural gas in Russia and important projects in this field.

Leading technology vendors and key licensors, including UOP, Axens, Haldor Topsøe, Cameron, Compact GTL and other companies presented high technologies and practical examples of their successful implementation.

The report of the Prosernat Company and the presentation and video on the current status of the North Stream gas pipeline was met with great interest.

During the 12th Russia & CIS Petrochemicals Technology Conference & Exhibition, Axens, UOP, Foster Wheeler, Ineos Technologies, Clariant Produkte, GTC Technology, KBR Technology, CRI Catalysts and other companies introduced practical examples and update information on recent technological development, in the field of production of olefin, polyolefin, aromatic compounds and their derivatives.

John Page, Vice President, Chemical Industry Consulting at IHS Chemical Company, informed the participants on forecasts of world economic situation and its influence to the development of oil and gas industry, brief of energy and raw material resources.

Over 300 delegations visited the 13th Russia & CIS Refining Technology Conference & Exhibition. The leading representatives of the key technology companies, including Axens, Dupont, Chevron Lummus Global, UOP, Exxonmobil R&E, Foster Wheeler, Cameron, Shell Global Solutions jointly with Omsk oil refinery, Haldor Topsøe, Air Products, Neste Jacobs, Bechtel BHTS and others made reports at the event.

The conferences created opportunities for all participants to have business communication with potential clients and partners.
