Italian shoemakers unite under “Shoes from Italy” in Baku

An exhibition titled "Shoes from Italy", organized by the Agency for the Promotion of Italian Enterprises Abroad and Internationalization (ICE) of the Italian Embassy in Azerbaijan, will be held in Baku on October 3.

The exhibition will bring together around 15 Italian companies specializing in shoemaking, which will present their products at the Rast Room of Four Seasons Hotel Baku.

Head of the Agency Luigi D'Aprea told Azernews that such Italian companies as Exitalia, Gianna Meliani, Gianmarco Lorenzi, Imac Spa, King SRL, Koil, Loriblu, Naturino, Nila&Nila, Pakerson SRL, Pierre Fashion Group SRL, Redwood, Rocco, Sergio Levantesi, and Taccetti SRL will participate at the exhibition.

"The main features that make Italian shoes popular in the world are the style, fashion and quality," D'Aprea said.

He also spoke about future projects related to Italian promotional events in Azerbaijan.

"I know that Italian fashion is appreciated in Azerbaijan and we like that," D'Aprea said. "We hope that in the future we will present not only footwear, but also clothes. Azerbaijani people have a good taste, so, Italian companies should explore their tastes before coming to Azerbaijan."

Moreover, D'Aprea spoke about the possibilities of implementing projects jointly with Azerbaijani partners.

"Are already planned more than 200 bilateral meetings. Several companies which will participate at the exhibition have never been to Azerbaijan and it will be a great opportunity for them," he said.

The goal of the exhibition is to establish business contacts with the prospect of exports and production of Italian brands in Azerbaijan.
