E-signature to be applied in banking system of Azerbaijan

"The Asan Imza" service implementation in the mobile and Internet banking" training course for the Azerbaijan banking sector IT specialists with the organizational support of the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Asan Imza operator Best Solutions company has been held on August 2, 2013 at the ASAN Innovations Centre of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Best Solutions told.

The purpose of the course was to support IT specialists in implementing authentication and Asan ?mza mobile e-signature related services for citizens, government officials, legal entities and entrepreneurs in Internet and mobile banking systems.

The training course given by IT specialists of the team Asan Imza was attended by IT departments' representatives from more than 20 operating in Azerbaijan banks. During the course, IT professionals were informed in detail of the techniques required to integrate Asan Imza in banking and other IT systems, and have received answered all their questions.

Connecting banks and other payment systems of Azerbaijan to the Asan Imza service will provide the basis for the rapid development and distribution of non-cash payments. Already planned to introduce a variety of new e-services using Asan Imza for the financial sector, such as account opening, getting a loan, making payments, processing insurance, and other services, and all of them without going to the bank, from a customer's computer or a mobile phone.

As is known, established by the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Asan Certification Services Centre (ASXM) issues certificates for authentication and Mobile ID (Asan Imza) digital signature and also the services necessary for utilizing the certificates and giving legally binding digital signatures to governmental structures, private sector and citizens. On April 9, 2013 the ASXM certification authority has been accredited by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and can issue qualified certificates to state authorities, local self-government bodies, business entities and individuals.
