Azerbaijani businesmen summoned to partake airport build in Iraq

Azerbaijani entrepreneurs are invited to participate in the construction of an airport in the Iraqi city of Karbala, the statement published on the website of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) on June 10 said.

According to the report, the interested businessmen are invited to participate in the tender for the construction of the airport, as well as ground and air infrastructure.

Karbala city is located 110 kilometers from Baghdad. A huge number of pilgrims come to Karbala, where Imam Hussein Mosque is situated.

It is supposed that the new international airport will serve to around 30 million passengers a year.
