
“Two Canadian companies operate in Azerbaijan , but it is not enough, many Canadian investors are interested in different spheres of the Azerbaijan`s economy, especially in energy and agriculture,” Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, chairman of the Canada-Azerbaijan Friendship Group Barry Devolin said. “We discussed political, economic relations and security issues in the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev,” he added.
Barry Devolin said recognition of the Khojaly tragedy is currently not on the agenda of Canada’s Parliament though he is going to have discussions on the question within his visit in Baku.
