Azerbaijan holds most significant share of Mangistau region's export

Azerbaijan is the main trading partner of Kazakhstan’s Mangistau region for both exports and imports.

Foreign trade turnover of the Mangistau region amounted to 12 billion 114.8 million U.S. dollars in 2012, while exports amounted to 10 billion 496 million dollars and import - 1 billion 618.7 million dollars.

Among trading partners of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the most significant share of exports in the past year occurred in Azerbaijan - 0.3 %, Turkmenistan 0.05% and Ukraine 0.02 %.
Significant shares of export in Mangistau region occurred in Azerbaijan and Ukraine 4 %.

The basic structure of the import figures in Mangistau region over the past period was formed by goods required for petroleum operations.
