SOCAR, Statoil consider mutual relations

Education, Training and Certification Department of SOCAR has held a meeting with the head of Statoil`s Department of Health, Safety and Environmental Protection, Shahpour Sotoudehmanesh.
At the meeting the head of the department Fuad Suleymanov briefed Sotoudehmanesh on activity of the division and it`s international relations.

“The newly-established department is dealing with training of highly-skilled personnel for oil and other industries, introduce the best international standards of training, and train offshore oilmen for work on the standards of foreign companies” Suleymanov highlighted.
In his part, Mr. Sotoudehmanesh spoke of activity of Statoil company in Azerbaijan`s oil-gas sector, as well as Norwegian Rogaland Education and Training Centre (RKK), which is in its capacity as resource centre, delivers an increasing range of competence development programmes to the industrial and commercial sectors. These programmes meet a wide need for both general and specialized competence and incorporate cost-effective teaching methods also designed to meet the needs of the customer, whether from the public or private sector, institutions or individuals.

At the end, the officials agreed in future exchange of experiences.
