Customs revenue ups in Azerbaijan in 2013

31 January 2013 [11:25] - TODAY.AZ
The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan expects fulfillment of its annual forecast on revenues at of 1.38 million manat.

This was told to journalists by chairman of Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, Aydin Aliyev at an event dedicated to the professional holiday of customs service on Wednesday.

"We hope that the forecast will be executed. This will be done due to growth in imports and the introduction of a new law "On Customs Tariffs ". The new law defines the mechanisms and procedures for determining the amount of customs fees for customs clearance, not their rates," - Aliyev said.

He said issues around changing tariff rates are not on the agenda today.

SCC deductions to the state budget in 2012 exceeded planned targets set at 1.2 billion manat.

The official exchange rate is 0.7844 AZN / USD.
