Green Line – it is Skoda! - PHOTOS

As known, prevention of environmental pollution with materials used in the manufacture of cars is an important task for SKODA. SKODA thinks about what would happen to it after the completion of its resource, already at its development stage. By founding a research center dealing with the issues of processing of car, SKODA will continue to intensify its efforts in this area.

At the Geneva Showroom, the Czech company Skoda will present serial version of its new representative of the GreenLine range - Octavia Green Line. Environmentally friendly sedan equipped with a completely new 4-cylinder 1.6-liter turbo diesel, with 105 hp power output and 250 Nm torque. Fuel consumption on the mixed cycle of the vehicle does not exceed  4.4 l/100 km, with 109 g / km CO2 emissions.

 Skoda press-release does not include information about the dynamic characteristics of the Octavia Green Line, however, as in the case with other ecomobiles, we can say that sedan is designed for quiet drivers.

Skoda designers managed to achieve such indicators of economy by reducing the weight of the machine and use of tires with low rolling resistance. Moreover, they have deeply worked on aerodynamics. Engines used in Skoda cars meet highest environmental standards Euro 5.

 Skoda cars have  diesel and gasoline engines that meet Euro 5 standard for toxicity. SKODA Octavia Green Line is not an exception.
