Rise observes in cargo and passenger transportation via vehicles

Some 118.1 million tones of cargo and 1.4 billion passengers were transported via vehicles in 2012 in Azerbaijan. Cargo turnover has increased by 7.6% and passenger transport by 8.7% in comparison with outcomes of 2011.

According to the State Statistics Committee, 96.4% of the passengers were transported via buses, while 3.6% via taxis. The number of the passengers who used metro was 195.6 mln and it increased by 7.1% in comparison with last year
