Azerbaijan, China boost civil aviation coop

 The Azerbaijani and Chinese delegations held a meeting featuring discussions on the cooperation in civil aviation sector. The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, possibilities for enhancing relations in the field of civil aviation, including strengthening air links between Azerbaijan and China.

The project of the agreement on air communication between the governments of Azerbaijan and China was agreed within the meeting. This agreement envisages establishing a legal framework in the field of civil aviation between the two countries and expand cooperation in the field of civil aviation.

The State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of civil aviation. The document was signed by Deputy Director of the Azerbaijani State Administration of Civil Aviation (ASACA) Fuad Guliyev and Director General Dept. of International Affairs and Cooperation HAN Jun.

According to the document, "Azerbaijan Airlines" Company soon will begin direct flights to Baku-Beijing-Baku.

Note that Azerbaijan's Civil Aviation Administration carried out passenger and cargo transportation in a range of Chinese cities as Urumqi, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The delegation led by Deputy Director of ASACA Fuad Guliyev includes representatives of “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC, Azerbaijani embassy to China, as well as, "SilkWay Travel" Company.
