Inflation forecasted at 3-5 per cent in 2013

Inflation in Azerbaijan is forecasted at three to four per cent in 2013.

Chairman of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, Arif Veliyev made this statement at a press conference on the results of last year.

He said in 2012 compared to 2011, consumer prices and tariffs for services increased by 1.1 per cent, including food prices which rose by 0.8 per cent, non-food products by one per cent and service tariffs by 1.2 per cent.

"In December, inflation was 0.7 per cent. Food products increased in price by 1.3 per cent, but prices for non-food products and services did not change," Veliyev said.
