Azerbaijan's agrarian production maybe tripled

If the entrepreneurs and farmers obey the agrotechnical rules, it’s possible to triple the production in agriculture, said the Director of Research Institute of Economy and Organization of Agriculture (IEOA) Sadiq Salahov.

He says one of the main problems in agrarian sphere is that the farmers do not use scientific achievements and obey the agrotechnical rules: “If the entrepreneur is educated and able to use the opportunities, we can triple the productivity”. 

 For example, the productivity in grain sewing areas is 27-28 centners in per hectare, but this figure can rise to 50-60 centners. Agrotechnical measures are not so expensive and increase of productivity compensates the costs.
