SOCAR closes technical tender on oil refinery in Turkey

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has finished a technical tender for the construction of an oil refinery in Turkey. According to SOCAR, companies from Japan, Korea, US and as well as Europe participated in the technical tender.

The commercial tender will be completed by the end of 2012. An agreement will be signed with the winner companies in January, 2013, and the executor companies will begin construction.
Currently work continues on the site, and about 8 mln cubic meters of land is ready for construction.
