Grandiose industrial complex will be built in Baku- PHOTOS

A new gas processing and petrochemical complex is planned to be constructed in Baku,  SOCAR reported.

The project on new complex stipulates  construction of petrochemical plants, oil refinery with capacity of 10 million tons per year, and gas processing plant with capacity of 10 billion cubic meters a year. Depth of processing at the plant will be about 95 percent, and the output of light oil products - 85 percent.

In the long term, the capacity of the gas processing plant will be increased to 15 billion cubic meters a year. Heat power center with a capacity of 250 megawatts is supposed to be established part of the new complex. The launch of the complex construction is scheduled to begin no later than 2014 and to be completed in 2018-2020.
