Variants on construction of bridge over Caspian Sea mulled

Azerbaijan discusses the possible variants on construction of highway bridge over the Caspian Sea, Deputy Transport Minister Musa Penahov said.

 To him, initial engineering design and evaluation of the project has already been conducted: ‘At present time, we consider the two variants – launching of tunnel in the Sea and construction of a bridge. Consequently, one of these variants will be selected’.

The proposal on construction of such bridge was put forward by Korean specialists. The project cost is estimated at $1 bn.
