Poland ,Azerbaijan study prospective areas for coop

Aircraft and automotive industries are on advanced level in Poland, and the government is interested in attracting foreign, including Azerbaijani, investors for cooperation in these areas, said at the meeting with Azerbaijani journalists Head of the PALilZ Foreign Investment Agency Iwona Chojnowska-Haponik.

Among other promising areas of possible activities for Azerbaijani companies she called electronics manufacturing, the agricultural sector, the food industry, in the heavy chemicals, coal power and the scope of alternative energy.

Today, the two countries are actively developing cooperation in many areas, but the level of cooperation does not fully cover the potential, she said. According to her, Azerbaijan business at the moment represented in Poland at negligible level, although there are favorable conditions for business.

As the representative PAlilZ noted, a regular meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, which was held today in Warsaw, identified all promising areas of future cooperation, which was documented in a signed its follow-up the minutes.

According to her, Poland can also be a reliable partner of Azerbaijan in another promising area for the country - the diversification of energy resources delivery.

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the trade turnover between the two countries for the first ten months of this year amounted to almost USD 37 million. Of which the share of exports fell 2.38 million dollars, import - 34.55 million.

"Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency" (PAIiIZ) seeks to increase the inflow of foreign direct investments in Poland, attracting overseas investors to place their capital in Poland. Assists in the interpretation of the rules and legal procedures at various stages of the investment process.
