SAM becomes Frankfurt Gas Forum's academic partner

 The “Frankfurt Gas Forum-2012” is due in anticipation of a main decision on the Southern Gas Corridor on 27 November, the Center for Strategic Studies of Azerbaijan under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan said.

As stated, the goal of the forum organizer - the International Oil and Gas Consulting Firm Energy Stream CMG GmbH based in Frankfurt is the support of investments into the growing demand for natural gas in Europe and raising demand for the project of gas infrastructure.
The main speaker at the first Frankfurt Gas Forum will be EU energy commissioner Gunter Oettinger.

Shahdeniz offshore field plays a key role in the EU's energy policy. Over the next year the consortium "Shahdeniz" will choose among projects Nabucco West and Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) the one that will transport Caspian gas to Europe.

The “Frankfurt Gas Forum - 2012” will encourage investment from the point of view of the growing European demand for natural gas and gas infrastructure projects. Investments required for gas infrastructure make euro; 40 bn. Persons who take major decisions in this area, will take part in the forum for presentation of their plans and studying ways of cooperation with financial structures of Germany.

The forum will be attended by pipeline consortium, large companies operating in the gas sector, the EU officials, analysts and experts in the field of energy, international financial institutions.
