CIS Int'l Banking Conference runs in Baku

The 5th CIS International Banking Conference has wrapped up today in capital Baku. The theme of the event is "The financial markets of the CIS: new opportunities and global risks."
The conference was opened by Jahangir Hajiyev, Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan.

Business program of the conference focuses on the discussion of issues of the national and international institutions' development, the banking system of the CIS member countries in the new regional associations, as well as issues of improving stability of the CIS financial markets in the ongoing global economic crisis, new possibilities of interaction with the adoption of the CIS Free Trade Zone and many others.

The conference brings together representatives of governments and ministries of the CIS member states, international development institutions, as well as heads of the central and the largest banks of the CIS, Asia and Europe.
