Lithuania seeks to develop ties with Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan`s Taxes Minister, Advisor of the State Tax Service of the second class Fazil Mammadov has met Lithuanian Ambassador to the country Art?ras Žurauskas.

Touching upon socio-economical relations between the two countries, Mammadov as Co-Chairman Azerbaijan-Lithuania intergovernmental commission briefed Art?ras Žurauskas on multilateral ties, as well as implemented measures, according to the signed protocols at the commission meetings in 2010, cooperation in the tax administration sphere.

Art?ras Žurauskas, in turn noted that he presented credentials to Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev. He hailed Azerbaijan`s socio-economic development, praising fruitful investment environment for foreign businessmen in the country.

The Ambassador noted that he intended to further expand existing relations between the both countries. They exchanged views on development directions of cooperation between the two countries` tax bodies.
