Dubai Chamber of Commerce opens representation in Baku

The opening of a representative office of Dubai Chamber of Commerce is being held in Baku today, Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said at the opening of a business forum between Azerbaijan and UAE.

"This is the only mission of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce outside the UAE, which shows a high level of relations between the two countries," Mustafayev said.

According to him, there is great potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and UAE.
The business forum is being attended by over 30 businessmen from the UAE and over 140 Azerbaijani business people.

"Some 122 companies with UAE capital are operating in Azerbaijan. They are making progress. For example Fly Dubai is functioning very successfully which also strengthens the cooperation" Mustafayev said.

According to him the priority areas for increased cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE are the non-oil sector, tourism, agriculture, development of transit field, industry and there is potential for cooperation in all these areas.
