Azerbaijan attaches importance to cooperation with IMF

 Azerbaijani Minister of Finance Samir Sharifov has today met with a delegation led by Raja Almarzoqi, International Monetary Fund`s new Mission Chief to the country.

During the meeting, they discussed a wide range of issues, including the macroeconomic trends and prospects, the development of Azerbaijan’s business environment, regional and local projects, state budget implementation for 2012 and state budget project for 2013.

The Minister stressed Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the cooperation with IMF and the fund greatly contributes to the economic development projects. Speaking about the macroeconomic and financial stability in Azerbaijan Raja Almarzoqi praised the success achieved in increasing of non-oil revenue and the development of non-oil private sector.
