Ethiopia invited Azerbaijan to join investment projects

Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Egypt Shahin Abdullayev has met Speaker of Ethiopia`s Parliament Abadula Gemada as part of his visit to Addis Ababa.

The ambassador briefed Gemada on history of Azerbaijan`s parliament, the country`s independence period and current political, economic and social achievements. He also spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Abdullayev stressed the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries. Gemada said both Ethiopia and Azerbaijan had ancient and rich history. He noted Ethiopia was interested in developing the inter-parliamentary cooperation and establishing friendship groups with Azerbaijan.

Gemada noted Azerbaijan was known as an investor country on the international scene.
The Ethiopian Speaker invited Azerbaijani businessmen to participate in investment projects in Ethiopia, and emphasized the necessity of strengthening economic and trade contacts between the two countries.
