BNP Paribas appraises cooperation with SOCAR

Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas (Switzerland) SA Pascal Boris has praised the company`s cooperation with Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, as he met its president Rovnag Abdullayev in Baku.

He said BNP Paribas was interested in making investment abroad. Boris said BNP Paribas had made considerable achievements in Azerbaijan in the last few years. Abdullayev also hailed the cooperation between SOCAR and BNP Paribas, including its office in Switzerland.

He said SOCAR managed to build strong international image, adding the company had high financial ratings.

“Almost all leading banks in the world now want to cooperate with SOCAR, and this boosts our confidence when considering different proposals.” Abdullayev said there was necessary legal environment for foreign investors in Azerbaijan.
