Azerbaijan ups electricity generation

In January-October, Azerenergy has generated over 17.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity compared to about 16 billion kilowatt-hours during the same period of last year, Azerenergy said on Monday.

Of the total electricity generated for nine months, roughly 15.9 billion kilowatt-hours fell to thermal power plants and about 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours - hydropower plants.

In October, Azerenergy generated over 1.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.

Planned power interchange with Russia, Georgia, Turkey, and Iran continued in September.
