World internet network’s new server installed in Azerbaijan

 World internet network’s new server has been installed in Azerbaijan, Elmir Velizade, deputy ICT minister of Azerbaijan told the news conference dedicated to the opening of the 18th International ”Telecommunications and Information Technologies” exhibition and conference in Baku.

The fact is evidence to the country’s high achievements in the field of Internet Governance, he stressed.

According to him, the installment of the new server was one of the major questions and it was completed on the threshold of opening of the UN’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF).

At his words, Azerbaijan’s experience in protection of national domains and necessary regulations enabled to organize such an event and install such a server in the country.

The advantage of the new server is that it will promote to opening of new websites both in Azerbaijan and region. Among the regional countries, analogical server has been installed only in Azerbaijan, Velzade underlined.
