Turkey's exports to Azerbaijan jumps

Turkey's exports to Azerbaijan increased up to $229.5 million in October 2012 compared to $208.3 million in October last year, the report of Council of Exporters of Turkey, published on Friday on its official website, stated.

Thus, Azerbaijan's share in Turkish exports amounted to 1.7 per cent. In January-October 2012 Turkey's export to Azerbaijan amounted to $ 2.1 billion.

The range of products exported by Turkey to Azerbaijan (including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic), consists of wood products (worth $26.1 million), cement ($8.8 million), precious stones and jewellery ($5 million), ferrous metals ($15 million), non-ferrous metals ($3 million), leather ($698.000), other products ($130,000), electricity ($24 million), carpets ($4.7 million), chemical products ($44 million), machinery ($15.8 million), textiles ($1.3 million).

The main export of Turkish goods was made in Germany in October 2012 - $1.07 billion, Iraq - $925 million and the UK - $630 million.
