
Azerbaijan`s state oil firm, SOCAR, has said it transported 17.09
million tons of oil in January-October from the Turkish port of Ceyhan. The export made 1.58 million tons in October, according to the company.
Oil is supplied to the Ceyhan port through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The B??`s total length is 1.768 kilometers including a 443-kilometre
section running via Azerbaijan, a 249-kilometre section traversing
Georgia and a 1.076-kilometre section passing through Turkey. The
pipeline`s construction began in April 2003. The first oil flowed on May
18, 2005.
