E-trade turnover is still low in Azerbaijan

The volume of e-transaction operations in Azerbaijan is at low level, said the member of Azerbaijan Internet Forum Ilgar Mirze. According to him, there is not relevant legislation base. Besides, he says, the population has not a transaction culture in e-form.

Note that, in January-September, 2012, 32 legal and individual e-traders operated in the country. The trade turnover made AZN 1.031 mln. Sale of 80.9% of consumption goods was realized in the commercial institutions of legal entities, 19.1% - in he institutions of individuals without establishing legal entity. 94.3% of e-trade turnover made sale of non-food products.
