Azerbaijan joins Eurasia Economic Business Forum in Istanbul

Head of the Administration of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Vidadi Zeynalov participated in the Eurasia Economic Business Forum on October 18-20 in Istanbul. The Forum featuring the impact of economic relations in Eurasia on the world economy was organized by the European Economic Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry.

Zeynalov made a speech at the Forum highlighting development of ICT sector in Azerbaijan and prospects for relevant projects. He noted that diversification of economic development through channeling oil revenues to non-oil sector was one of priorities of the Azerbaijani state. Zeynalov underlined the role of ICT in effective implementation of economic reforms in the country. He added according to the World Economic Forum this year Azerbaijan rose from 55th place to 46th again leaving behind all post-Soviet countries.
