
                     			
             
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of 
Azerbaijan and the Eurasian Patent Department of Eurasian Patent 
Organization signed an agreement in Moscow yesterday.
The agreement provides the granting of permission for the National 
Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and its subsidiaries, public libraries
 in the country, higher education institutions, as well as scientific 
and technical centers to use the Eurasian patent information system.
The agreement signed was by Head of the State Committee Ramiz Hasanov and President of the department Alexander Grigoriev.
The system will facilitate the search in patent sphere, identify objects
 of inventors' rights, and the creation of new ones. This will also play
 a role in the protection and commercialization of patents, and in 
promoting innovations related to the development of the whole economy.
