Azerbaijan’s Housing Fund increases

Azerbaijan’s Housing Fund grew four times since it regained the independence and reached 162 million square meters, Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee for City Planning and Architecture Abbas Alasgarov said at the 34th session of the CIS Intergovernmental Council for Cooperation in the construction activities.
 
"The housing stock per capita today is 18 square meters," Alasgarov said.

The volume of construction works increased in the past 20 years increased by 19 times. "The average salary of workers in the construction sector grew six times," Alasgarov said.
 
According to him, the training of professionals is one of the main priorities in the field of city  planning.
