According to the official website of the forum, this year's focus will be on the Southern Gas Corridor, the Shah Deniz giant gas field in Azerbaijan and the strengthening of the European energy security.

FGF will bring world gas business leaders from countries such as Azerbaijan and German financial and energy CEOs together with public policy decision makers in order to facilitate financial agreements in gas infrastructure. The forum will be attended by the representatives of the world gas companies, EU officials as well as the government leaders.

The main topics of discussions will be the geopolitical developments affecting the European gas industry and gas infrastructure; the security of gas supply in Europe; international developments in the major gas pipeline projects, such as Nabucco, TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline) and TANAP (Trasn Anatolian gas Pipeline); infrastructure investment opportunities in natural gas.

"The growing gas demand of Europe needs gas infrastructure investments that will be decided in the course of the next year. Gas infrastructure investments in Caspian region and the Southern gas Corridor are a priority," the FGF official website said.
