SOCAR to expand gas station network abroad

The total number of SOCAR gas stations in Georgia exceeds 110, a source in SOCAR told Trend on Friday.

At present, the number of SOCAR gas stations in Georgia is 97.

"Active work is underway to construct gas stations in different regions of Georgia, and by late year the number of gas stations under SOCAR brand in the neighboring country will exceed 110," the source said.

According to the source, construction of 6 gas stations and around 10 gas stations and 10 gas filling stations is underway.

SOCAR Georgia Petrolium, which was established in 2006 and is SOCAR Energy Georgia's 100 percent subsidiary, is dealing with sales of Azerbaijani oil products in Georgia.

SOCAR owns a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan. Gas stations are stepwise establised under SOCAR brand in Ukraine and Romania. State Oil Company has also purchased a network of gas stations in Switzerland..
