Azercosmos completes work on satellite control centre

 Azercosmos OJSC is completing construction and creation of necessary infrastructure of the basic ground satellite control center Azerspace-1.

According to Azercosmos, installation of satellite antennas and other equipment in the main building of the center is approaching to the end. Adjusting IT-infrastructure of ground satellite control center was started.

Simultaneously, work on interior design and landscaping of the center’s territory. In December it is planned to bring the centre in full readiness for operation.

Along with work on the ground satellite control center, it is also underway the work on backup satellite control center.

At present, creation of the backup satellite control center, which is located in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, is at stage of completion. Start of operation of the backup satellite control center is scheduled for this October.
