Azerbaijani gas supply to Turkey, suspended because of an explosion on the South Caucasus gas pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) is resumed, IHA agency quotes Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz as saying on Wednesday.
An explosion took place on the section of the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline in the Sarikamis district, situated in the Turkish province of Kars on Oct.3.
Last time the explosion hit this pipeline was on May 29, 2012.
Turkey has a contract for the supply of 6.6 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas annually from the Shah Deniz field via the South Caucasus pipeline.
The explosion on the gas pipeline did not affect gas production in Azerbaijan.
