Azerbaijan, Uruguay may sign agreement in customs area

Azerbaijan plans to sign an agreement on customs cooperation with Uruguay in the future, chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev said at a meeting with Uruguay's delegation in Baku today.

"Azerbaijan's economic cooperation with other countries including those of South America, has reached a new level," he said. "An agreement has been successfully concluded with Argentina. We hope for further cooperation with Uruguay in this area."

Head of Uruguay's Customs Service Enrique Canon Pedragosa expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side and said that he hopes for further cooperation in customs between the countries.

Several business meetings will be held during the Uruguay's delegation's visit which will also visit the Azerbaijani regions.
