Annual inflation in Azerbaijan reaches 6.53%

Economic Researches Centre has released the results of statistical observation of prices conducted in 10 regions during August, 2012.

ERC says according to results, 1.06%-inflation was observed in Azerbaijan. The growth mainly was created from rising of food products. So, the price of food products went up 1.73%, non-food products – 0.40% and service tariffs – 0.13%.

Compared to July, the prices in Baku rose 1.74%, in regions – 0.39%. THE food products in Baku went yp 2.89%, in regions – 0.59%, non-food products relevantly rose 0.53% and 0.27%, service tariffs – 0.24% and 0.01%.

Calculations indicate that, during 8 months of 2012, the inflation made 2.52% in the country, including in Baku – 4.62% nd in regions – 0.46%. During the period, food products rose 4.03%, services – 2.86%, non-food products – dropped 0.80%.

Compared with a year earlier, 6.53%-rise was observed in the country. Duriong the same period, the prices soared 9.93% in Baku, 3.18% - in the regions. TE highest inflation was observed in food products (10.40%).
