Palmali orders to construct new vessels

Palmali group of companies ordered the shipyard "Besiktas" (Turkey) to construct three ships to the amount of $ 120 million to transport Azerbaijani and Russian oil, the newspaper Zaman wrote on Saturday.

The first vice-president of the group board of directors Maarif Aslanov said that the agreement will promote the development of relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia. Earlier, Palmali Group won the tender for the construction of three vessels for offshore structures on the Filanovsky field for "Lukoil" company.

Two vessels are required to maintain year-round drilling of the exploitation wells, to participate in start-up operations and to transport cargo to maritime facilities and remove waste products, waste drilling fluids, waste water after the field is commissioned.
The vessels are designed for continuous year round rescue operations and spill liquidation in the marine facilities.
