Azerbaijan -Netherlands ties named as fruitful

A Dutch delegation led by Maxime Jacques Marcel Verhagen, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, visited today the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) where they met vice-president Elshad Nasirov.

The SOCAR vice-president praised cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, saying it would further expand. Nasirov also spoke of Azerbaijan`s current development processes, saying “oil and gas industry plays an important role in this development”.

Vice-president briefed the guests on Azerbaijan`s contribution to the world oil industry, as well as the country`s role in ensuring European energy security.

He spoke of global and regional oil and gas projects carried out in Azerbaijan.
The Dutch deputy prime minister described cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands as fruitful.

Verhagen expressed confidence the two countries` relations would further develop.
