Azerbaijan to join Asian regional summit of World Economic Forum

 Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has left for China to take part in the Asian Regional Summit of the World Economic Forum, taking place in Tianjin on 10-13 September.

According to the ministry, the summit will focus on new technologies, the introduction of scientific and technological achievements, innovative entrepreneurship, enhanced ICT, impact of innovative technologies on the economy and the role of government in these areas.

Participation in this event will help to demonstrate achievements gained over recent years in Azerbaijan in the ICT sector, and promote implementation of international projects. The summit will also expand opportunities for mutual partnership with global IT companies.
