
Belarus and Azerbaijan have great potential to expand cooperation. The statement came from the Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich on August 27, at a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yagub Eyyubov, according Belarusian news agency BelTA.
"The potential for bilateral relations between our two countries is very large both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and multilateral contacts. I think that we have good prospects,” said Myasnikovich.
The Belarusian official stressed that the cooperation with Azerbaijan has always been a priority for Belarus. “The Belarusian side has always tried to comply fully with its obligations under the bilateral cooperation,” he said.
Today, some 250 companies contribute to the mutual trade between the two countries. "They are involved in the trade, economic and investment projects as well as the scientific-technical cooperation," Myasnikovich stated.
In turn, First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Yaqub Eyyubov said Azerbaijan is happy for Belarusian success in socio-economic sphere. "Belarus is the example of sustainable economic growth and prosperity," he said.
More than 200 Belarusian companies supply their products to Azerbaijan. The leader of the Belarusian-Azerbaijani ties in the field of industrial cooperation is Ganja Automobile Plant.
