Azerbaijan TPP ups power generation

In January-July 2012 Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant (TPP) generated 4.65 billion kilowatt hours of electricity, Azerenergy (electricity generation and distribution in Azerbaijan) said on Wednesday.

In July the power plant generated more than 656.6 million kWh of electricity.

Azerbaijan TPP is the most powerful energy company in the South Caucasus.

The power plant consists of eight units of 300 MW each.

"Reconstruction of the plant was completed, after which the plant capacity increased to 2,600 megawatt hours," the statement said.
