Manufacture of analogue TV sets limited in Azerbaijan

AZPROMO recommends to the companies to limit production of analogue TV sets and take relevant measures to start production of digital TV sets.

According to decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, relevant measures are being taken by the relevant state bodies. So, TV broadcasting company which privides the 87% of population with digital TV was constructed and relevant opportunities were created by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies for broadcasting of the programs ((«AzTV», «Sport», «Culture», ITV, «Lider TV», ANS TV, ATV, «Space TV», «Khazar TV» and TRT-1) included in open package under the decision of National Television and Radio Council: “Its planned to stop analogue broadcasting by the end of 2012”.

As a result of this, the population will be able to watch the programs via digital TV sets.
