Economic growth hits 1.5% in Azerbaijan

During first half of 2012, GDP production rose 1.5% to AZN 25.9 bln. Value added produced in industry made AZN 14.0 bln or 54% of GDP, in agriculture, forestry and fishing – AZN 1.2 bln or 4.5%, in construction – AZN 2.4 bln or 9.2%, in the services for repair of trade and transport facilities – AZN 1.8 bln or 7.0%, in transport and storage economies – AZN 1.3 bln or 4.9%, in the sphere of placement of tourists and catering services – AZN 350.0 mln or 4.9%, in information and communication services – AZN 431.8 mln or 1.7%, in social and other services – AZN 2.9 bln or 11.3%.
